벚꽃길의 시작

1986년, 가평군 청평면에 (재)한국기독교 에덴성회가 교회를 건립하며 도로 양편에 가로수로 심었던 작은 묘목들이 40년 가까운 세월을 품어 아름드리나무로 자라나 장대한 벚꽃 터널을 이루어 매년 수만 명의 발길이 머무는 아름다운 관광지가 되었습니다.

It all began in 1986 when the Korea Christian Eden Church (Foundation) established its presence in Cheongpyeong-myeon, Gapyeong-gun. At that time, small saplings were planted as roadside trees along both sides of the road. Over the course of almost four decades, these saplings matured into magnificent trees, creating a spectacular cherry blossom tunnel. This beautiful sight has since transformed into a stunning tourist destination, attracting tens of thousands of visitors annually.

벚꽃 엔딩 명소 ‘가장 늦은 개화’

남부지방에서 시작된 벚꽃 소식이 끝날 무렵, 에덴벚꽃길의 주인공들이 기지개를 켭니다. 지리적으로 경기 동북부 산간 지역에 위치하여 국내에서 가장 늦게까지 벚꽃을 즐길 수 있는 곳입니다. 봄의 끝자락, 아쉬움을 달래며 마지막 벚꽃 엔딩을 장식하고 싶은 상춘객들에게 최적의 장소입니다.

Geographically situated in the mountainous northeastern part of Gyeonggi Province, this is where you can enjoy the cherry blossoms later than anywhere else in Korea. 에덴벚꽃길 벚꽃축제

에덴벚꽃길🌸벚꽃축제는 벚꽃길 조성 30주년을 맞은 2016년, 상천1리 마을회와 ㈜꿈의동산이 지역사회 발전을 위해 공동으로 개최한 <상천1리 벚꽃축제>에서 시작되었습니다. 이후 코로나19 기간을 제외하고 2026년까지 매년 이어져 오며 축제 규모와 방문객 수가 크게 증가하였습니다. 현재는 봄철 가평군을 대표하는 축제로 자리매김하여, 축제·문화 도시로서 가평군의 이미지를 높이는 데 크게 기여하고 있습니다.

The Eden Beotkkot-gil Cherry Blossom Festival began in 2016 as the "Sangcheon 1-ri Cherry Blossom Festival," jointly hosted by the Sangcheon 1-ri Village Council and Dreamland Amusement Park to promote local development, marking the 30th anniversary of the creation of the cherry blossom road. With the exception of the COVID-19 period, the festival has been held annually through 2026, growing significantly in both scale and number of visitors. It is now established as a representative spring festival of Gapyeong-gun, greatly contributing to enhancing Gapyeong's image as a city of festivals and culture.
